Does a Person Have to Ask His Parents Permission to Make Hijrah? – Shaikh Abdul-Muhsin al-‘Abbad

Question: If a person lives in a land which he cannot make apparent his religion and he wants to make hijrah, is it a obligatory for him to seek the permission of his parents to move and make hijrah?

Answer: “What is obligatory upon him if he cannot make apparent his religion is for him to make hijrah, him and his parents. He makes hijrah from the land of the disbelievers to the lands of Islam until it is possible [word not clear]. Him and his parents. He makes hijrah with them. He does not make hijrah and leave them”.
