Aasim Musa Hadi said:
“Our Shaikh heard the siren for the ambulance one day and said: “How quick are the Muslims to imitate the west? Otherwise what is with them and this sound which imitates the sound of mourning women during the striking of calamity in Jahaliyyah along with the fact that the person [who the ambulance is rushing towards] has not died yet. Only if they came with something that fulfills the purpose and indicates their Islam and reminds the people about their Lord, it would be better.
”
So I said: Like what? He said: Like the Takbir and it was reported in some narrations:
إذا رأيتُمْ النار فكبِّرُوا
“If you see a fire then make Takbir”
