So what is the ruling on this?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Answer<\/strong>: &#8220;If you find there [in Canada] someone from the Muslims who is deserving of that [Zakatul-Fitr], then he is more deserving of it. The people of a land are more deserving of their fruit. If you do not find [such], then there is no harm in that inshallah [i.e. sending it to poorer countries]&#8221;<br \/>\n<strong>Questioner<\/strong>: Do they give it as money or what [do they do]?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shaikh<\/strong>: &#8220;They send it, even as money, to a trustworthy man who will buy for everyone a Saa&#8217; of grain or raisin or dates or cottage cheese.
