I witnessed in one of the charitable societies in the city of Riyaadh\u00a0that most of those who take the Zakatul-Fitr are people who have a month&#8217;s food or a year&#8217;s [worth of food]. Is it allowed to give them the Zakatul-Fitr?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Answer<\/strong>: &#8220;O my brothers, no one said that Zakatul-Fitr is not given except to one who does not have his provisions for the day and night. No one said this. It is given to a poor person and a poor person is one who does not find what suffices him for his year. This is the poor person. He is given from the Zakatul-Mal and he is given from the Zakatul-Fitr. As for stipulating that this person [should be one who does not have] his food for the day and night, then this condition applies for the one who is giving Zakatul-Fitr not the one who it is given to.
