This is because it will block his path. However, he should park the car in the courtyard of a store which does not need the parking space. Not in front of the door [of his neighbor]. There is no harm [in parking in the courtyard of a store that does not need the parking space]. If he [the owner] needs the courtyard, then he is more deserving of it because it is his courtyard.
