The Salaf prohibited that as is in the book Kitab ul-Masaahif of Abu Bakr Ibn Abi Dawood rahimahullah.<\/p>\n<p>Ibrahim an-Nakhi rahimahullah said: &#8220;I met our scholars and they prohibited that&#8221;* ie. placing the Mushaf as a sutrah.
