The Times of the Morning and Evening Remembrances- Shaikh Yahya ibn Ali al-Hajoori

Question: When is the morning and evening remembrances said?

Answer: “The morning remembrances are said after Fajr and their time extends until the Shurooq. The evening remembrances are after the ‘Asr prayer and its time extends until the setting of the sun. Whoever forgets something of that, then let him make it up even after the exiting of the time allocated for it due to the statement of Allah:

وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا

and glorify the praises of your Lord before the rising of the sun, and before its setting,

[20:130]

The evidence for making it up is what is established from the Prophet (ﷺ) that he made up the two rakaat of Dhuhur after ‘Asr. Also what is established from him encouraging consistency in righteous deeds”.
