Question: Some beautification products which women use like artificial nails, false eyelashes, and colored contact lenses have spread in our markets. The artificial nails are worn and placed on the fingers, the artificial eyelashes and contact lenses change the color of the eyes. Due to the many questions regarding them and their wide circulation among the women, we hope [from you] a clarification of its ruling?
Answer: “It is not allowed to use artificial nails, false eyelashes, and colored contact lenses due what is in them of harm to the places of the body [where they are placed]. Also, due to what it involves of cheating, deception, and changing the creation of Allah.
With Allah is Tawfeeq and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his followers, and his Companions altogether”
