Is Asking A Scholar Considered From Treading a Path In Search of Knowledge? – Shaikh Ibn ul-‘Uthaymeen

Question: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

مَنْ سَلَكَ طَرِيقًا يَلْتَمِسُ فِيهِ عِلْمًا سَهَّلَ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِهِ طَرِيقًا إلَى الْجَنَّةِ

Whoever treads a path to seek knowledge therein, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise [Muslim]

So is asking the Scholars considered from seeking knowledge?

Answer: “Yes. It is a means from the means of knowledge. If a person asks a Scholar, either via the phone or by going to his house, then this person has tread a path to seek knowledge therein”
