Question: Is it obligatory for a woman to remove her earrings from her ears when making ablution because it covers some parts of her ear? Is the ruling the same for big and small earrings?
Answer: “It is obligatory to wipe the ears with water during ablution, the outside of the ear and the inside, by inserting the two index fingers that are wet with water inside the ears and run the wet thumbs over the outside of the ears. If the ears of a woman are covered or some part of it is covered and earrings prevent wiping, then they should be removed”.
