Question: Bananas are picked and sold before they are ripe because if they are sold after they are ripe they will spoil. However, they are picked before they are ripe and then they ripen after some days?
Answer:”If they are picked and sold before ripening then there is problem in this, even the green ones which are picked by its growers who know about it. There is no preventative in the legislation. The speech [about the prohibition] of buying fruit before they ripen is when they are sold then they shrink and cannot be benefited from. As for something which is picked and benefited from and the ones who are picking it are the growers who know there is benefit in it and that it can be eaten when green at the beginning and then it will become soft, then that is fine”.
