Question: A youth lives with his parents and his father bought a house with a usurious loan. Is it allowed for this youth to help hos father pay the electric bill or water bill?
Answer: “Yes, he can help his father in paying the bill and he can live with him. If his father repents, then inshallah Allah returns to the one who returns to him. If he does not repent and this youth remains living with him and he is patient with him, then the sin is not upon him. It is upon the one who took the unlawful loan and committed the unlawful matter”.
