Question: In regards to gifts which are given to the groom or the bride on the morning of the day of the wedding?
Answer: “Gifts are no doubt from the recommended affairs because gifts lead to love and affinity, especially if that is the custom. Verily, it removes the disgraceful misery from a person. This is in regards to the one giving. As for the one who is receiving the gift and it is the bride, then her accepting this gift is from the guidance of the Prophet (ﷺ). He (ﷺ) used to accept the gifts and give gifts in return”.
