The Ruling on Maggi Noodles [A type of Instant Noodles] – The Permanent Committee for Islamic Research and verdicts

Question: In the market there is a paste made from poultry meat called: Maggi soup. It is boiled in water and the soup is added. Is it allowed to eat it and we do not know whether or not there are oils or fat that is unlawful in it?

Answer: “These soups follow their origin from which they are taken from, whether lawful or unlawful. So if its origin is known to be lawful, then it is lawful. If it is unknown, then it is lawful. Likewise, if it is not known to be mixed with unlawful oils or fat, then it is lawful because the origin is lawfulness. It is not removed from this food except with obligates prohibition.
