The Ruling on Using the Term Mawlaana (مولانا) For a Human Being – Shaikh Abdul-Muhsin al-‘Abbad

Question: Does using the word mawlaana (مولانا) for a human being have something against Tawheed?

Answer: “there is nothing in it against Tawheed. However, a person does not return himself to these terms. This type of speech has been expanded by the people (in its usage). It is used for one who does not deserve it”.
