Is Turning Off the Cell phone During the Khutbah Considered From Vain Talk – Shaikh Abdul-Muhsin al-‘Abbad

Question: are the following actions considered from vain talk: Turning off the cell phone during the khutbah? Does it fall under the hadith, whoever touches the stones has committed lagh (vain talk)

Answer: “It is a must to turn it off before. However, if he notices it ringing and it is on, then no doubt this an affair necessary because turning it off is more deserving than leaving it on to distract the people”.
