Ruling on Those Who Believe The Prophet (ﷺ) is Alive – Shaikh Saalih as-Suhaymi

Question: The Shaikh mentioned that the death of the Prophet (ﷺ) is necessary to belief in. There is a sect [Bralevi] that believe that the Prophet (ﷺ) is alive, present, observing/watching. Is the one who beliefs in this from the Muslims?

Answer: If he/she knows the verses:

Verily, you (O Muhammad ) will die and verily, they (too) will die. Then, on the Day of Resurrection, you will be disputing before your Lord.

[39:30-31]

And the other:

Muhammad is no more than a Messenger, and indeed (many) Messengers have passed away before him. If he dies or is killed, will you then turn back on your heels (as disbelievers)?

[3:144]

And what comes of Ahaadith indicating his death (ﷺ). If they are arrogant after it [the evidences] , then they are not Muslims. If they are ignorant they are taught and the evidence is established on them. So if they admit/confess to the evidence, otherwise they are deniers of the Quran”.
