Question: Studying Aqeedah is an important affair, so what is obligatory upon the students of knowledge and callers to Allah in regards to that?
Answer: “The people have a lot of ignorance in Aqeedah and other than Aqeedah, however, All praise is due to Allah, they now have enthusiasm for knowledge. Some of them have an increased enthusiasm that is extreme even in Aqeedah. They speak on things that the salaf did not speak of, wanting to affair it. However, it is for the student of knowledge to speak to the people in accordance to the condition. For example, if we see that a town deviated in Aqeedah, we focus on Aqeedah and we research in that a strong research. If we see another falling short in congregational prayer, we speak about congregational prayer. So Da’wah and persistence on it is in accordance to what the condition requires. Allah says:
ادْعُ إِلَى سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ وَجَادِلْهُمْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ
Invite (mankind, O Muhammad SAW) to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islam) with wisdom (i.e. with the Divine Inspiration and the Quran) and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better. Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and He is the Best Aware of those who are guided.

So for example, if we see people praying as they should, but they have shortcomings in Zakat. Should we focus on prayer because it is more important than Zakat or should we focus on Zakat because they are falling short in it?
The answer is the second. So we do not go to speak about prayer and they establish it as it should be done. So every condition has a speech. The wise one does what he sees the people are in need of, whether in Aqeedah or the actions of the limbs”.
