Question: Is a cloth purified from impurity when it is cleaned in an automatic washing machine which washes itself without someone entering it ?
The Shaikh: “The intent of the questioner, from what is apparent, is if the impure cloth is washed in this washing machine which rotates by electricity, does it purify or not”?
Answer: “That purifies because the water purifies. The intent of removing the impurity is to remove its trace by any means of removal. Even if a person must spread his cloth on the roof, then the rain descends and purifies it, then it is pure because removing impurity does not require an intention”.
