Question: What I often find embarrassing from my students is a lot of questions. So what is the ruling on answering their questions if they are outside the curriculum?
Answer: “Answering questions outside the curriculum is not compulsory upon you in the class. Rather it is said to the student: Do not ask except about the curriculum. This is because a question about other than the curriculum distracts from what is obligatory with what is not obligatory. As for outside the class, that is, outside the lesson, then answer them with what you know and hold back from what you do not know. If the question is from what is not befitting, then advise the student about his question and direct him to what is good”.
